Top 10 reasons why Eagle Fan gave Donovan McNabb a standing ovation

10) Because the people that go to the games have much, much more sense than the people who call in to talk radio

9) By buttering him up, they hoped to convince him to take things easy on the old laundry

8) Any man that has to make do with the Redskins line and WRs without going postal deserves applause, really

7) When you've bought the man's jersey and worn it for the better part of a decade, it just seems silly to boo

6) While it's hard to believe given the PR, Philadelphia isn't filled with breathtaking ingrates who can only judge the worth of a man by the color of his laundry

5) No one wanted to give the national media another chance to pule about how awful they are

4) Just because you give him a standing ovation in the pre-game, it doesn't mean that you can't mock, jeer and boo him during the game

3) With the exception of Ed Rendell, moronic sports radio twerps and possibly the man himself, no one really wanted Ricky Williams to come here instead of McNabb

2) They really like rookie safety Nate Allen, the reigning defensive rookie of the year in the NFC, and the guy they took with the Redskins pick

1) Um, we were always more disappointed in the guy than actually disgusted
