Epic Drop: Top 11 ways to celebrate Cowboy Elimination Day

Today's list focuses on what true Eagle Fans are thankful for, and no, it's not another year of the Don N' Andy Show.

It's the simple joy of ending the Cowboys season, honestly.

That doesn't make the year a success -- they'd need at least one more win next week to even think about that, and it's going to take a lot to make me forget Cincinnati, Baltimore or Washington.

But that doesn't take away from the greatness of Cowboy Elimination Day, especially when it was coupled with Patriot Elimination Day, and Favre Elimination Day...

But... I have it on good authority that the Cowboys are, in fact, "America's Team". ("F*ck yeah!")

It's almoast as if you want America herself to lose... can I question your patriotism, now? ;)

But anyway - best game ever, at least for medium-sized values of 'ever'. Playoffs-shmayoffs, just a cruel hoax to fool the gullible into getting on the bandwagon long enough to be crushed on the cruel hard rocks of failed metaphor.

The only thing that matters is that they humiliated the (hated, obviously) Cowboys on national television. And knocked them out of the playoffs. From a certain perspective, the only way the game could've been better would be if the Iggles were, say, 0-15, but put it together long enough to play Spoiler. Which is even more fun than "Hungry Hungry Hippos".

Why is it that every time something identifies itself strongly with America, it has to stink on ice? Doesn't my country have enough issues without carrying the Cowboys as its football team?

And, oh, let me just make a few of the blog's readers soil themselves here... if there is such a thing as America's Team in the NFL, it's the Steelers. They rarely employ true scumbags, don't have prima donna issues, aren't from a city that fosters true hatred, and have been around long enough to have generations of fans.

It's either them or the Packers, and unlike Green Bay, the love for the Steelers isn't a media creation. And the #3 team... ain't Dallas, either.
