Grab Some Road Roy...
I don't get it. I just don't. Why was Roy Williams in the stands rooting for KU last night? And sporting a Jayhawk sticker on his shirt. I get the fact that Roy can't stand the thought of somebody not liking him, but this has gone on too far. Let me get this straight:
1) You leave Kansas to go coach another school
2) You do it in a manner that creates animosity
3) You finally have to play your old school in a Final Four game
4) KU beats the tar out of your Heels
5) Your team, devastated, flies back home
6) You don't - you stay to root for the team that just worked your kids over
Wow - way to be there for your team Roy. I'm sure they loved seeing your pda for KU all over the screen last night. Pick a team Roy and stick with them.

Why not?
He prefers Kansas to Memphis.
His son Scott had flown in from England to San Antonio for the Final Four. He stayed to spend time with his kid, see a good hoops game, and cheer for a school he's still quite fond of.
At least this Roy-obsession will abate once Bill Self goes and grabs himself a big ol' chunk of T. Boone Pickens' dough.
Why not? I don't know. Might make sense to fly back with your team. You know, the whole team concept thing.
At least he got to see one good game in the Final Four.
