Three Straight, and Unsellable at Any Price

This afternoon, as I was at my desk, I got an email from a sports blogging colleague. He had a friend (yes, some of us have them) with two tickets to tonight's Knicks-Bobcats game at the Garden.

Good, not great seats. Face value, we're probably looking at $150 or so for the pair. In the

The asking price? Nothing. Free. Nada. Bupkas.

The size of the mailing list that he sent to? Dozens. And this only came about after his regular group of friends and family had been exhausted.

The final outcome? Unused.

For the record, the Knicks won their third in a row at the most famous basketball arena in the world, 109-107. The win allowed them to ensure that they won't lose 60 games in a season for the first time in their history. Baghdad Zeke then took the podium and said, "Finally the spirit of the team is good. The camaraderie of the team is good. I just think that they're a team now."

Attendance was reported at 18,943. No word on sold, as opposed to used...
