A Brief And Obvious Point About Derrick Rose's Recovery

Needs more cover
According to reports now getting play on ESPN, Chicago Bulls point guard and ex-MVP Derrick Rose has been cleared medically to play, but does not feel ready to go mentally.

It's been 10 months since Rose got hurt in that first-round playoff loss against the Sixers, and the Bulls don't really need him to make the playoffs this year... but they do need him to do anything once they get there. Especially with back-up point guards Kirk Hinrich and Nate Robinson brittle.

Now, no one really knows if Rose is ready to come back, or if he should be expected to.

But I do know this:

Whoever is spreading the news that his brain is the only thing keeping him off the floor is doing him no favors.

And if the club really had his back, they'd have stepped on this with speed.

But they didn't.

Make of that what you will, folks. What you will.
