FTT DVD Review: Justified

Justified is an FX drama starring Timothy Olyphant, and it's basically a neo-Western that's just crazy great. Owing its parentage to the great Elmore Leonard, it's the stories of old-school U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens, who has an unfortunate habit of killing people in the line of keeping the peace. The acting is top-notch, the writing is as tight as anything bearing Leonard's name, the regionalism is dead solid perfect and the only "unreal" thing is the relative hotness and lack of obesity in most of the women, which I'm reasonably sure is something you can live with. Every episode I've watched so far (I'm halfway through Season 1 on the DVD) has had several stand-out scenes of action and gallows humor, and plots that don't go in the way you'd expect. Olyphant's damn near infallible in this, and there's really nothing about it that I'd change. Other than getting into it late, or that there's only two seasons of it so far. Give it a spin; you'll be glad.
